A First Secure Burst!

The first to learn.
The last to know.
 Take a turn.
Away you go.

The last to learn.
The first to know.
Learn you earn.
Away you go.

First step taken.
First thought given.
Something is bakin.
Maybe even livin.

Just like my cheat.
To keep the beat.
Not beat the street.
That so isn't neat.

The first to try.
The first to fail.
The first to fly.
On beaten arse trail.

Not the first.
Not the best.
But not the worst.
Passed the test.

Passed to fail.
A passing glance.
Damn that trail.
Take another stance.

Trip over a stump.
Step on a rock.
Crawl over a hump.
Pass through a flock.

Learned the in.
Learned the out.
Learned the win.
Weathered the drought.

A first to more.
More than first.
With each encore,
Quenched the thirst.

Can you be the first to try? Do you fear being the first to let something fly? First you have to give it a go. That is the one way to know. The one way to learn. Then second or third you can earn. The higher you go, the better the show. This way at least. Nature of the beast. Learned and grew. Didn't sit and stew. Or maybe sit and pass gas. Hey, it has to come out like that from my little rhyming ass.

Fill your rummer, get drunk all summer.

Teaching summer school like a toad on the road...
Wait does a toad teach too?
Does a toad wear a blue suede shoe?
Does a toad have a genie at his spot?
Am I cold or am I... um... hot?
      HAHA!

  5. Might be some firsts for me
But no time right now to look and see
To rushed trying to get to work
    Definitely not the first quirk!

  6. A First Secure Burst
    Fearful of an outburst
    First in line
    Would be fine
Try not to make it worse

  7. I've achieved some "firsts", but it was never my goal to be a trend-setter. Sometimes, it just happens. Like sometimes, it happens that I'm the last one in the world to try or do something "new." (Like get a cellphone... )

Does anyone still use an amateur radio though?

  8. If it's something that makes me nervous I want to go first to get it over with. If it's a trend like electronics, I don't mind taking my time. :)

    1. Yeah, the electronics may break
Best to wait until they fix each mistake

  9. Sometimes being the first to try something is a scary thought. I don't mind letting others go before I do. Well, sometimes.

  11. Not that brave to be first in line
    Rather let someone step ahead
Like to see what they are up to
And if it is something I won't dread.

  13. I'm a fairly early adopter, and, of course, often stumble around and fall flat on my whatever. But sometimes being first has it's fun.

  14. It might be fun to be the first to try something. Guess it would depend on what it was to try. Have a great day Pat.

    than you're last
    so says Ricky Bobby
    about his driving hobby
but then again he's a nutty
    along with his buddy
and he drives around and around
never going anywhere at his ground
so I'll stay at my shore

  20. This brings to mind an ole rhyme from my elementary school days. Note: I can't be blamed for coining it, but I can be blamed for remembering it.

    First is the worst
    Second is the best
Third is the man with the
    hair on his chest.

  25. I don't have to be the first to try something new. I like for kinks to get worked out first, so I let others have the first shot.
