Picture Advancement Ease

The cat was at Snowcatcher's the other day where she had tons of great pics on display. She brought up how it was way easier to get creative with pics today. I never really thought about it much before that. But she is right. It gets a big YEP from the cat. That truly pain in the arse of using photoshop years ago at our sea I think we blocked out. Then she brought it back about. Now I guess we appreciate the ease more. And the cat is fine with showing himself a ton all at once at our shore. And we can even go further too. As Pat goes back to editing, here are some ones for a Lookie Lou after a little bit.

And then there is land, sea, and snow.
We'll skip the very last though.
We'll even take the giant litterbox.
If the cat wanted to go for walks.

And then you got this creep.
He sure has quite the heap.
He gets around a bunch.
We really think Pat is out to lunch.

Pat keeps saying he really should be editing at our sea, but I made him post for me. Do you realize how easy it is to post and change pics these days? Sure is no longer one big tech maze. Now I'll let Pat go edit his latest novel's final pass while I go back to napping my little rhyming ass.

With a click click click you can edit a pic some slick.

  4. I am tech slow it seems because I don't edit my pictures. I enlarge them a little but that's it. I know there are filters galore if you have a smart phone but I don't have one of those because I don't need one. So I will just use my camera. lol That last picture of the alien was too funny and the kids are adorable.

    1. Yeah, it is way easier on a smart phone, but I'm sure it can be done on the computer. But hey, you get the shots you want as the coppers always come about lol alien likes to place dress up. Kiddos are great to have around indeed.

  6. Good luck to being in the final editing stages of your novel. Picture editing is easier now, but I next to never do it. I do use the fast collages or whatever though, if I need to. Great pics you shared here. You are surrounded by all kinds of cute!

  8. Warmed my heart to see the pictures of you and your nephews! So sweet! Loved the bench looking out on what I perceived to be a frozen body of water. Lots to do with editing I'm sure with pictures; way past what I'm capable of doing. Did enjoy my time here with all photos you shared!

  10. There really is a lot you can do with photos today. I made my daughter one of those shutterfly books and the choices were amazing. However, took me weeks to do, do I'm not all that excited to do one again!

I sure enjoyed seeing your pics and finally the real faces of your nephews. I'm sure they think Uncle Pat is the greatest! Who doesn't want to dress up an alien for Xmas?

One told me the other day when I took him out of the bath tub that I was the greatest lol Nanny scoffed at him though calling me a bad influence hahaha yeah, let the alien enjoy the holidays too.

  17. Oh my, the Alien must love the Red Hot Chili Peppers or he is trying to feel manly. Let's hope he doesn't go out and buy a huge, big ass Dodge Ram truck. I love the pussy cats and the doggies...so sweet. the one black lab reminds me of Katie. How old is she? or he? She looks like an oldie but a goodie. The kiddies must love your books and that is special no matter what.

    1. haha the alien needs a bank account before he can buy anything, so I think I'm safe. Kiddies enjoy the books indeed. Not sure on age, as the pup is just one of 1000s I see.

  19. What do you use to create the collages? I laughed at Pat being out to lunch. RIP Hank, do you think his member knows that the rest of him is gone? Or did it die at the same time? I never actually used photoshop, but you're right about the ease of pictures these days. They are all around us. It's common practice to snap a picture of something before it disappears into our memories.

    1. The cats sure give me the wtf look when I carry around poor dead Hank lol He may not feel anything, alien powers and all. I used Instagram's app. Photoshop was a gigantic pain in the butt, once you learn it not so bad, but time consuming. Snap we all sure do.

    2. What look did you get when you resurrected the alien zombie? Did Hank consent? Did researchers contact you for the corpse? I have so many questions.

  20. And what did Orlin do to PO Cassie? Hmmm? :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. I never bought the full Photoshop, but I do use Lightroom and Elements. Took forever to figure it out and I still have to YouTube some tutorials sometimes, but it really does make a huge difference in photos when you are able to do subtle changes, like fix exposure and such.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Oh yeah, it does make a huge difference. Just can be time consuming and a giant pain in the arse.

      Delete
    2. Time consuming, definitely! I don't normally do people photography, but when I do they think they are going to get their photos back almost immediately. I can spend 15 minutes editing one photo, so imagine having 20+ to go through, you're looking at hours of editing just one session. There's no way I could do wedding photography. I'd lose my damn mind editing an event of that magnitude!

      Delete
    3. haha patience sure isn't a thing these days. They want it now. And yeah, just one photo can take forever. Putting books together takes for friggin ever too. I hate that part. Brides are nuts. I would never want to do that photography. Cats and dogs are easier lol they don't care

      Delete
    4. I agree. I upset my best friend's future daughter in law by telling her I wasn't doing her wedding photography. I'm an invited guest. I want to enjoy the wedding, not work it. Pets are so much better to work with (though mine hardly ever cooperate).

I've never put together a book, but I'm sure it's just as tedious. Though, the end product is almost always worth it.

      Delete
    5. haha well that seems rather dumb. Invite you as a guest and then put you to work. Pets are better, when/if they decide to cooperate.

True, end product is worth it, even if tedious.

  25. What a great post! So happy to have ignited the fire! Precious photos and collages, but special kudos to the b&w of you and the alien. Cute as can be! Also thoroughly enjoyed seeing the nephews. I know first-hand how it can be, with some parents saying, "Don't you dare put my in danger by showing the face on your site!" So cool you were finally able to show it's not too much danger. Back in my newspaper days, I had gymnast parents continually hounding me not to snap any shots that show things they shouldn't, as if I would miss something like that in the editing stage...

    1. Sure ignited it indeed. Yeah, as long as the photos aren't in poor taste, like naked in the bathtub or something, like I've seen people put up, it isn't that much danger to it. Any weirdos come and I'll chuck the alien at em lol the b&w one I did for that other place.
