A Traditional Post

I guess I have made it a tradition to post at this time. You know, the first Wednesday of the month when others do. Would that be a tradition or a rule? Hmmm I have posted after and before, so maybe it is more of a bendable rule. Or tradition. I guess it would be whatever side of the coin you fall on. Or side of whatever. You may have a tradition that is the side of a door. Hey, has two sides. It beats side of the ham. Not sure why any would use ham for the saying, but it popped in, so I went with it. Would my rambling be a tradition of my place? Or would it just be my thing? Thing is more fast and loose. Let's go with thing and get with the question answering.

Other than the obvious holiday traditions, have you ever included any personal or family traditions/customs in your stories?

Hmmm can't think of any that I've included. I can't even think of any that we have that aren't obvious, if we even have obvious ones. Opening up presents I suppose is obvious. So I guess we have a few obvious ones. Oh, one just popped in. I guess we do have personal ones. Nope. It never got into a story yet. I don't think I've written any around the holidays, at least that incorporated any holiday in any impactful way, novel wise.

I have included all kinds of other personal things that some may not guess is personal. But then the cat has already spilled the beans on everything going anyway. Don't think I have much left. At this point it would take me yanking down my pants and posting an ass selfie on the blog to have something few have seen. Don't worry, I'll forever pass on the little, big, hairy, or otherwise little rhyming ass pics. Unless I was paid a bunch. I can be bought. What? Don't look at my page that way. Oh wait. That could just be a tradition with many of you by now. Go for it. Look a way.

Have you slipped any traditions into your blog/novels/written words anywhere where you write them down?

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

I couldn't think of anything either.

  3. Hahaha! I can't imagine how difficult it would be to do an ass selfie.

  4. this is about as close to tradition as you get. I think I've included some tidbits in some poems and stuff. As a kid, I always brought my mom a handful of dandelions on May 1st - May Day - sorta cute back in the day. No ass selfies, that would not be a good new tradition to start.
    Happy Wed

  5. I sometimes use ours but I do it in passing, so it's not a big part of the story.

  10. I can't think of any traditions that I included in my writing. I may have without thinking about that, though..sometimes traditions that I think are for everyone may not be so hahaha.

  12. I couldn't think of traditions I include in my writing. But it is a tradition to write on IWSG day.

  14. Thank you for sparing us the Xerox of a posterior. I think your cat probably had a paw in helping you make that decision. Good kitty.

  15. I disagree cat, I'm pretty sure that we've seen pictures of your furry little behind several times. That means you have done a real good job of sharing it all! Just sayin..lol lol Now I'm curious. What are the cat's traditions or is his tradition that he avoids traditions? I thought your tradition would be Cassie Cat's Thursday posts, but you haven't allowed her to take the spotlight in a little while.. Hmmmm..

    1. Even a video or two with my furry behind for all to see. You'd be the one to know too, all poop obsessed and such. Bah to traditions. Just crap old farts made up. Cassie will probably return at some point, we post when we post.

    2. There you go talking about turds again. You know, cat, you really should seek help for your problem. Nooo, I love traditions. There's something so romantic about a tradition that's been passed on for centuries. You should try to keep some of your family's traditions alive. You could even teach Hank and he can spread your ideas throughout the galaxy.

    3. Romantic? You do know that a lot of traditions were started not in the wholesome way you think, right? Pffft to them. I do what I what and that is that.

  16. Tradition is peer pressure from dead people.

  17. I couldn't think of any traditions I've added to stories. I couldn't really think of any traditions I even have that aren't holiday related.

  18. So yeah. No selfies of any part of my body, much less my ass. And not much in the way of 'tradition' in my writing, either. I focus a bit more on the crazy parts. LOL

    1. But it would prove one is umm bendy, right? Among other things lol crazy is more fun anyway.

  21. Well, If I remember correctly there was a story about a certain someone walking in the nude in front of a window. lol...butt, were there photos?

  22. No selfies please. Rule or tradition. Maybe more like guidelines for this crew.

    ReplyDelete
  23. No thanks on the ass selfie. Besides, if your cats are anything like ours, it'd be much easier to take a pic of their butts. They love to wave their tails in my face.

  25. There is a consensus among the comments to spare us from an ass selfie ~ LOL. Our family has a tradition of rolling down the grassy hills at Fort Anne in Annapolis Royal. Anyone who married into our family has done it including Terry. The day after my father's funeral, we all went to Fort Anne and rolled down a hill (including my mom). It was a great relief from stress and grief, because it's impossible to roll down a hill without laughing.

    1. Well I can't say I've ever rolled down that hill, or any hill. Sounds like a fun tradition to have. And yeah, the ass selfie gets the boot.

  26. Prolly yes. Oh wait, def. yes. The older kids like the chocolate oranges in their Christmas stockings, so we do that... There are probably others I've mentioned that I can't even think of... and yes, it should be a tradition for all to come visit your pages. :)

    1. Little things like that we did too. It was apples here. That last tradition sounds fine by us.

    2. Apples are healthier than chocolate oranges (and for the record, I don't like the chocolate oranges, but my grown kids sure do).

      Delete
    3. Yeah, never was a fan of oranges no matter how they came.

  27. I haven't seen anyone post about including a tradition in their story other than holiday stuff. We're all either boring or nonconformists.

  29. An ass selfie of the rear
is a selfie I most fear
Show a pic of your hairy...
    buns, and
I'd likely be the first to run.
    If it ran first,
    that'd be the worst.
You'd surely hear me scream in fright
So keep that ass selfie out of sight.

    1. But what if it is smooth like a baby
Would it then go to a maybe?

  30. Not really. I just post light and fun stuff, nothing too jarring and odd. Writing should be fun anyway. Enjoy the weekend !!!

  31. Like you, I post when I feel like it, except for my Friday honey posts. I guess that's tradition by now. I can imagine how many weirdos you're going to get searching for ass selfies now. You're about to be one popular dude :P
