What could be waiting?
What's just down the road?
Is it up for debating?
Is there some kind of code?
A trail that is longer?
A trail that is meek?
Could it get stronger?
Could it meet the creek?
The could and the would,
Each just inches away.
Now comes the should,
And it tries to sway.
Twists in the path.
Circled for a loop.
Some new kind of math.
Some new kind of poop.
Thinking with thoughts.
Not thinking at all.
Stuck in certain spots.
Staring at the wall.
A wall of making.
A wall of none.
There could be faking.
There could be fun.
Just want the end.
Want to be in the know.
No time to spend.
Let's just skip go.
Jump to the end.
Jump and find out.
No need to amend.
No need for about.
About should be know.
About needs to be right.
The river will flow.
The day will be night.
Be there in spirit.
No need to attend.
Don't want to hear it.
Now show me the end.
Pat shot that out in the deep, dark woods the other day and this is what popped in when I loaded it at my bay. What was at the end? Do you skip over the middle trend? Do you just want to know? Did we confuse with this flow? It just wanted to be said. So it popped out of our head. Or would that be my with this pass? Bah, that's the closest I'll get to the woods with my little rhyming ass.
Experience spring, have a fling.
Ninja attack!
ReplyDeleteSure piling on
DeleteHank is missing
Deleteprint the milk cartons
Hank must be on vacation
DeleteThat Ninja means business!
DeleteThat he does.
DeleteI'd enjoy the stroll.
ReplyDeleteHere I would also be watching for snakes.
Only ever seen one snake during my time with this
DeleteThe fun is in the journey, although that path looks rather sinister to me.
ReplyDeleteDown there could be bad, plenty of deer poop to be had
DeleteI'm pretty sure I wouldn't walk that path at night!
ReplyDeleteYeah, we'd be outta there some quick.
DeleteEnjoy the journey as much as the destination!
ReplyDeleteNo spoiler alerts for me.
No spoiled at your sea? Isn't that rude haha
DeleteLove the adventure
ReplyDeleteBeginning to end
Must take my camera
To capture many a wildlife friend
And many you get indeed there at your feed.
DeleteI love the woods in that picture. I could see myself taking a small walk there.
ReplyDeleteAnd you have no cell phone so it wouldn't matter that you can't get cell reception there haha
DeleteNo greenery yet in your neck of the woods. Already mowing and trimming and weeding going on here. And of course, pulling a tick off my granddaughter's ear. Nasty things!
ReplyDeleteI just pulled one of those **** off me today. Getting greener in most spots now.
DeleteI like this!
ReplyDeleteWorks for me at our sea
DeleteYou know how to tease
ReplyDeleteAn ending would please
But I don't need to know
On the journey I go.
Please it may
DeleteOr could make one stray
What's at the end? One tired tractor making those tracks.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's broken down
DeleteOff to junk yard town
That is the fun of a long road or trail, is finding out what is at the end. That would be a great adventure. Pat, have a great rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteFinding out could also scare haha
DeleteI'd take the trail all the way to the end. I like to explore and see where I end up.
ReplyDeleteNowhere really fun, unless you like deer poop and old run down shacks
DeleteI’d love to be on this path
ReplyDeleteWalking with my dog, who needs a bath.
Let’s explore and roam in the woods
What a way to find all the goods
Find lots of stuff
DeleteMost once is enough
Gorgeous path, Pat. It doesn't matter what is at the end. The journey is pretty spectacular!
ReplyDeleteThe journey sure is the way.
DeleteI'm staying off that path, it looks a little scary!
ReplyDeletebetty
Probably wise to do as very little civilization in view.
DeleteLovely pic. and poem. I'm guessing a Starbucks at the end of the trail. Ha!
ReplyDeletehaha may need a drink
Deleteorlin N cassie; nice snap shot dad getted; we like it....burd free treez two !! ;) ♥♥
ReplyDeleteBurds were about though could hear them crow
DeleteGet on down, get on down the road!
ReplyDeleteDown one goes, on the road again
DeleteSo, you're not a woodsy kinda guy?
ReplyDeleteBeen in the woods enough in the last 18 months to last me 5 lifetimes. So hell no.
DeleteKind of spooky looking. Most anything could be waiting at the end of that road. Don't think I'll take a chance.
ReplyDeleteCould be a lot, some not a fun plot.
DeleteI like this too. A new style of writing for you. Lots of pondering & depth!
ReplyDeleteJust popped out, so we went with it.
