A Little Sunday Sinks

Along we go once more with some sinks. As in the cat will try and get some things to sink in. It is a hard job with the human race, but I'll continue to try. Only been at it for nearly a decade. What's a few more? So onward we go after a little plug.

Two sides to every story they say. Who they are we still don't know. Can't spoil the surprise of they anyway. If we did, then we'd have to go with them. What's after that we have no clue. Back to the story. If there are two sides, does that mean all my stories need a sequel/reboot/remake? Damn, that is just too much work. What if there is only one person? Does the road have a side? Don't you get the two sides divided vibe from that pic? Either way, it makes my story happy because all of this left.

This was just a few miles down the road a previous day. Looks pretty, they say. I wish I had some, they say. In our experience those "theys" don't last long. They've come here to retire or work or whatever and quickly hit the road. They can't handle the cold. They just had a fantasy in their head about it and thought it would be grand living with it. Like the driveway would magically get shoveled, the snow would magically melt, and the roads would magically be cleared. And the power would never ever magically go off. Pfffft. Two sides to a story or not, sticking with the fantasy in the story is much better than trying to live it and finding out it was a big whoopsy.

Speaking of whoopsy. Uncle Pattie got blamed for breaking his thingy. Then Cassie took the blame. That poop machine sure wanted someone to blame. Orlin doesn't roll off the tongue as easy, so I was safe from blame. But while the kiddo is cute doing it, other people aren't. Can't you humans just own your mistakes and stop trying to blame the person who took the picture of the snow for your stupid fantasy not being true? Or you know, the million other things you blame everything and everyone else for.

Now if you were to blame these cows for being late, then that might apply. But then would the cows be the problem or the farmer who didn't keep the cows inside the fence? Or maybe it was you for driving too slow and not getting there before the cows started crossing the road. See? I can shift the blame too. It's easy to do. And hey, I'm sure the cows didn't take the blame. No matter how much you tried to pin it on them.

And as you can see, no snow. But the clouds sure are rolling in. Meaning that blame or not, they are going to keep a coming. Thingy (hopefully thingy) or not, they are going to keep a coming. Two sides or not, they are going to keep a coming. You can only outrun things for so long before the pile gets too big and falls over on you.

The cat will now let that sink in. Did any of it make sense? I just pulled some pics and wrote what first popped in. They seemed to work off one another with ease. Do you think a story has two sides? Do you blame everyone for your mistakes? Have you ever found a fantasy didn't live up to what you had in your head? Do you like driving in and shoveling snow? Have you ever got stuck behind cows? They sure can take their sweet time moo-ving.

This story is done. We hope it was fun.

  1. Its pretty with the snow, but I know it is not for everyone. They think it will be grand until they are stuck in it or forced to shovel themselves out. Same here with the heat. Some thing they can get it beat. But its a mindset that it takes and some don't have it either for the cold or the heat. I have no words for whoopsy and being broken. Is this a PG13 blog? Then maybe I would have a word or two.

    1. Yeah, it is the same with the heat too. Many can't handle what they think they can when they come from a place that doesn't have it. Some can though. lol when has the cat ever been PG 13? Remember the zombie feet? That right there is 21+ lol

  2. Cows will do whatever they want to do and they are not to blame. It is in their DNA or something. Your little poop machine could not match cow poop machine. It is not for lack of trying, he can't be blamed.

    The photos are great!

    1. Yeah, they will do whatever they please indeed. Neither gets the blame. Works for us.

  3. Always 2 sides to everything
A chore but enjoy the shoveling
    Cows crossing in the snow
It will surely make it slow
    Enjoy the scene without blaming

      Blame won't thrill
      So have a go
      Avoid the snow though

  4. There are always two sides to every story! I don't think you can really blame the cows, because they don't really care about getting to work on time.

I really like snow! I love how pretty it makes everything look

    1. Yep, the cows have no care about people getting to work. It can make things look pretty, but that is about it.

  6. I have never been a fan of snow. It is no fun getting all wet and really cold. The cows are going
to do whatever works best for them. They just have to find the food. Have a great day Pat.

    1. That they will indeed. Yeah, snow sucks unless you never have to leave the house until it melts.

  7. That first photo is lovely; the second, not so much! I hate everything about snow. And no one talks about how ugly the piles of dirty snow look on the sides of roads and middle of parking lots. We've only been stuck behind a cow once in the middle of Utah. It was a novelty for us.

    1. We sure are with you. Hate it all. True, no one says anything about the dirty pics of snow. And the mountains of it that lets you walk on your roof with ease. Pffft. Need to get a florida winter home for the cats and I haha let me check under my mattress.

  10. Burrr! That photo with the cows is what I would call a raw day in Nova Scotia! One of the reasons we haven't moved yet is we worry that we may make a big whoopsy. Terry doesn't think he'd mind the desert heat in August ~ That's because he's never lived the reality of it, only the fantasy ~ LOL. Have a great week, Pat, and may the snow stay away!

    1. Sure a raw day indeed. Rain and rain and more rain. But beats snow. Yep, the reality is a lot harsher than the fantasy haha

  11. Yes. all of it made sense
    They gotta be dense
Not surprised they can't handle the cold
Let's give it to them tenfold!
    (Awwww that's cold!)

  13. Lovely scenery with the snow but I guess not for those who have to deal with it!

  14. Ha - I love to look at freshly fallen snow, then reality sets in and I have to go out and clean off my car and drive to work on hazardous roads. So not fun.

    1. Ps - That first photo is unique - two sides of the same street. Did you cross a parallel line?

    2. Yep. When reality sets in, one realizes it is a giant pain in the butt. Thought it was unique indeed. It was out in no man's land.

  15. Is that what they call a traffic jam in Canada? I can't say I've ever seen any animals blocking the road. Maybe a deer or two crossing. As for the blame game, I have family who will always try to blame everyone else, even when they are clearly wrong. My sister had some drug test results come in, dirty of course, but it was OBVIOUSLY the lab people trying to set her up LOL. There's always an excuse with that one.

    1. haha country traffic jam maybe. City is the usual crap. You never know. Can't trust those labs, they are always out to get you. Pffft.

  16. I like snow until it's shoveling time. Why did the cow cross the road? In search of a chicken?

    1. But then it went back as the chicken had a heart attack.

  17. Does a story have 2 sides?
    No way.
    There are 3, I'd say
One for you, one for me
    and one for they.

  18. First off, that's the scariest road I've ever seen. I don't know how I would be able to handle driving down a road with so much forest. Forget a cow, a deer could come running out at any time!! Either way, it's still the cow's fault. It's definitely the cow's fault. There are 3 sides to every story, silly cat, not 2. Your side, my side, and the truth! Also, I found your poop reference in this post with "poop machine". You can't go one post without mentioning feces. tsk tsk tsk

    1. haha now that is what you call country, not a few trees on side of the road. Deer and coyotes are back there too. And lots of crummy woodticks. Always blame the poor cow while you have a cow. Hey, they are poop machines. Just stating a fact.

  24. Definitely the farmers fault. I have no elisions that snow is pretty, or say I want it. I HATE winter. I'm already thinking about Spring. When and if we retire it won't be someplace with cold or snow for sure. Currently, the plan is to get out of Ohio Jan-Feb-March. We'll see how things go when and if hubby ever retires.
