"Someone is a drama queen."
Says the one who won't eat for Nanny.
"At least I don't eat everything going."
You should try it sometime.
"Not on your life, fake rhyming cat."
Missing out. Where were we? Oh yeah. First a promo and then on to it.
Pat left this early. THIS friggin early every day. Why?
Because the roads became rivers. It made people dance. What was so bad about that?
A tree fell here and there. This twig. Pffft.
Hmmm. That twig may hurt.
Hmm a bit bigger than a twig.
But bah, these guys can take care of it. Just shoot the tree. All better.
Hmm may want to watch the line.
And these lines.
And these ones too.
And...oh they took my advice. War zone.
Damn, they nailed that tree.
Sure a big old hole.
Ah. Caught him. So this is where Pat really was. He was hanging out with dogs. Big dogs. How FRIGGIN rude.
"Idiot."
Quiet, Cassie. No one is talking to you or the dog lover.
"Everything is always about you. Not the 402,000 out of power. Brat."
Go away or I'll feed you to that big dog.
Yep, Pat was supposedly out and about while 402,000 people gave a no power shout. Some didn't have it for a week or so. But everything and everyone was go go go. Should be getting back into the swing of things soon. Like maybe Sunday at noon. Sleep is on the agenda for now. I still say he was with dogs somehow. Can't you see the proof above? He is giving dogs love. Left me for 14- 16 hours a day with only Cass. Pffft can only take so much of her with my little rhyming ass.
Don't lose power in a hurricane shower.
I heard it hit Canada harder than expected. Down here, the NC coast got it bad.
ReplyDeleteYeah, no one was expecting us to get nailed that bad, not that it is anywhere near as bad as the Bahamas.
DeleteI'm glad that Pat was there to help, but he wasn't with dogs cause the didn't quite yelp! Glad you kitties are okay.
ReplyDeleteTaking Pat's side? Geez, has to be those dogs.
DeleteThat's a lot of downed trees. We didn't get half of that from the hurricane although yes, the Carolina coast got it bad. Glad you were all right.
ReplyDeleteThey sure came down in groves, glad it left you guys be off the coast at least, as it was no fun.
DeleteI had no idea! Oddly, it bypassed us, for the most part, though there was a 'microburst' that hit just one city and caused major damage and about 20,ooo without power for quite a few days. We got lucky this round. Hope all is ok at your place, Pat. You've been missed.
ReplyDeleteGood it bypassed indeed. Weird how they can hit one little section and move on. Some spots here you'd never know and then others are like a war zone. All okay here indeed now that I can sleep lol
DeleteThat hurricane sure made a mess. my son and daughter-in-law in Charleston are okay, thank heavens.
ReplyDeleteGlad they are okay, no fun any old way. Worst thing it did here was take out a crane.
DeleteHurricanes have an inordinate ability to remind us that Mother Nature is still the boss. I'm glad you and the cats are okay.
ReplyDeleteYep, mother nature can sure screw over humans any time she likes.
DeleteWow, never thought hurricanes would go all the way up there! What damage it caused! I can't imagine that many people without power either! Glad all in all you were safe and life hopefully is now coming back to normal.
ReplyDeletebetty
We usually only get the tail end, but once every decade or so we get nailed with a big one, guess we were due. People were sure getting cranky with no power, but everything is back to normal now, hopefully.
DeleteYowza. Thanks for hero moments. Yeah...cats don't care. But we do . Big thumbs up.
ReplyDeleteYeah, cats just want to eat and the attention, stubborn turds lol
DeleteYour pictures really put the hurricane damage into perspective, Pat. It's something to see how those big trees were snapped. My family in Smith's Cove was without power for four days. It's amazing how many people in N.S. were without power. From what I understand, the power companies were well-positioned in advance of the hurricane and did a great job of getting the power running again. No power gets old very fast!
ReplyDeleteYeah, they did a great job getting things on, but they can only move so fast, which many a cranky person didn't like. Sleep deprived me was tempted to run a few over lol four days seemed to be average. We got ours back in day, pays to be on hospital grid, and others were out 7 or 8 days.
DeleteI am irritated (and sometimes worse) by cranky people who take their frustrations out on others, especially on people who are trying to help them. That said, I'm guilty of being cranky at times with Terry ~ Not a part of me I like! Thanks for all you've been doing to help people in need! And kudos to you for not giving in to temptation!
DeleteYeah, jail wouldn't be fun lol We can all get snippy at times, but throwing rotten meat at linesmen who are trying to help you, yeah, they deserve to be run over.
DeleteWe were wondering where you went. Now I know, you were shooting trees and trying to recruit a team of dogs to do the hurricane clean up. I don’t blame Cassie for being upset. She has every right!!
ReplyDeleteI’m glad that things are starting to come back to normal. Hopefully dancing in the dirty water filled streets have come to pass and that everyone has electricity back. Welcome back!
Yep, off shooting trees with a big gun and getting those dogs ready. Now we got a whole team of dogs to come and fertilize your lawn. They'll do it for free too lol
DeleteNope, no more dancing in dirty water. All is returning to normal, expect for some trees still down here and there.
Geesh! Glad thats all done. Being without power is the worst! Cheer up, Cassie!
ReplyDeleteYep, no power sucks. Glad it is over indeed.
DeleteI saw some videos of Nova Scotia and the damage looked quite bad. I am relieved to know you are still safe. It takes a lot of clean up after a hurricane. Hopefully, no lives were lost.
ReplyDeleteCassie of course would miss you!
No severe injuries that have been found, so that is good. Damage wasn't as bad as the Bahamas by any means, but enough to be a giant pain in the butt.
DeleteGlad your safe. Wow, impressive images. That is a lot of trees. Being without power is a bummer.
ReplyDeleteYep, no power is sure a bummer indeed.
DeleteOh my gosh, Pat. I had no idea you got hit that hard.
ReplyDeleteWorst one we've had in 16 years or so.
DeleteHoly moly! Had no idea it went that far north!!! Good for you for being a hero, and so glad you and the cats are okay.
ReplyDeleteSure came on up indeed. haha I was more of a gopher than anything.
DeleteIn Hiding Without Hiding!
ReplyDeleteRush of power not avoiding
Extremely glad
All safe Pat and cats
Worst in 16 years is frightening
Hank
All safe and sound
DeleteWorst that has lately been around
Hopefully no more on the way
As we stay by our bay
So sorry to hear that so many were without power. That's never fun. I remember being without for 3 weeks once, when 3 hurricanes in a row came to visit. Fortunately we had water for showers, but they were ice cold!! Those are pretty dogs. Not a scent a cat wants to pick up on you though, lol. Love the sunrise sky.
ReplyDeleteNope, never fun indeed. 3 weeks would have people rioting here, they were already going nuts. Ice cold showers suck. They sure pick up on many a dog these days off me.
DeleteThat is a lot of damage. I’m glad you are OK. It’s kind of Pat to help others with recovery efforts. Though that doesn’t give him a right to hang out with dogs instead of you :-D
ReplyDeleteHmm kind? It may have had to do with getting paid, but we'll go with kind lol yeah, so rude hanging out with those 1500 dogs or so.
DeleteReally a rough time of it there. I heard to maritime provinces were hard hit. Frightening. I am glad you are all right. These are trying times everywhere.
ReplyDeleteThat they are. But just have to survive and push on through.
DeleteOh wow, the hurricane sure caused some damage there. Glad you're all ok.
ReplyDeleteYeah, sure snuck in and caused a bunch.
DeleteAs long as you and yours are safe my friend!
ReplyDeleteSafe we be at our sea.
DeleteWow! That is a lot of downed wires. Glad you and your pets were safe! :)
ReplyDeleteSafe we be after the mess.
DeleteWhat a mess! Mother Nature sure can be a beast when she wants to be. Glad you made it through ok!
ReplyDeleteCan't stop mother nature when she sets her mind to something.
Deleteguyz....glad everee onez safe N aye oh kay...mom naturez nothin ta mez with....her can pack a punch in 5 secondz N take out what took 10000000 yeerz ta make.....♥
