Time For A Photo Stroll

Pat was napping at our sea.
Same couldn't be said for little old me.
So I stole his phone and took a walk.
First let's get to the why with our talk.

These things were outside the window yapping.
They just screwed up my napping.
So away I went for a stroll.
Taking pictures was my goal.

Ninja turtle he is not.
His story would have a very slow plot.

A slithering and a hiss.
And he thought I'd miss.

4 gals out for a stroll.
I wonder if going to the bathroom together is their goal.

This guy is a real stickler about getting near.
I steered clear with my rhyming rear.

These things all stood very still.
Their yapping never gave me a thrill.

Oops. She had to pee.
That is something you can't un-see.

These make for a good snack.
I got my protein before I headed back.

And these two stopped and licked.
They said I went the wrong way and was tricked.

But then I just went duck duck goose.
At least I didn't run into a moose.

And look at these ugly suckers.
Have a look and your butt puckers.

And so on I went to forgive the mutts and nap.
It's all water under the bridge or some crap.

BUT!!!!!!!!!! Then I returned to Pat awake with these.
I just can't catch a break. Geez.

But then Pat quickly took them away.
In the giant litterbox they went to play.
So after my stroll across the map,
I got to take my nice long nap.

Ever go for a wilderness stroll? Was getting away or taking pictures your goal? Plenty of wildlife near the cat. They sure leave a lot of scat. Those at the end do too. Pat wipes the butt of those two. I just laugh and then nap. He can stay a sap. Now it is nap time. So ends this little rhyme.

Go for a walk and take stock.

  8. Lol on the deer pooping together. We get a lot of those piles in our backyard. Is that a porcupine? Something we do not see here, though they might be around. The birds on the rocks is such an iconic picture. So fun to see what’s near you. And a special treat to see you with your nephews at the end! Hope you are having a lovely Autumn.

  12. Obsessed. Completely and totally obsessed. Every line I read is about scat, poop, peep, and urinating cows. Is there something else you want to tell us all about, Cat? The reason that you're obsessed maybe??

    1. And the one who is saying one is obsessed honed in all that stuff. I think someone is just in denial.

  13. What an awesome photo of Orlin! Loved the cormorants on the rocks and the two mutts. I had two deer jump out of nowhere in front of my car today. I hit the brakes hard, and they jumped safely off the road. When I looked in my near view mirror, more deer were jumping between the cars that had stopped behind me. I didn't have time to be scared. I love deer anywhere but jumping on the road in front of my car.

    1. Yeah, that is one of my favorite ones that I ever got of him. So that is what the birds are called. Ugg deer have no brains when it comes to traffic. Like they just wait for the last second to run across and then a herd run across. Good all ended up safe indeed.

  14. Such great pictures!! The bugs reminded me of Pumbaa. As for the moose... I wonder just how big they are in real life. I bet they are rather intimidating (as is that snake). And naps... yes, those are great. The older I get, the more I think so... ah, the life of a cat. :)

    1. lol Pumbaa I never would have though, but yeah. Moose are huge supposedly. Them and a bear are the only two things I haven't come across here. Life of a cat is the way to be.

  15. Extremely fun post and excellent nature stroll. Glad you and the kids went to play in the sandbox, so Orlin could take a nap. I just hope the yappers quieted down too. He should steal your phone more often. (very cute!)

    1. The yappers stopped after a bit, then just kiddos screaming lol He got his nap though. I'll let the cat know to steal the phone.

  18. Taking a stroll in your area would be a lot of fun. We have some interesting critters around here, too, but I've ever come across a porcupine. It'd be MUCH better to encounter one of them than to run into a skunk.

Your nephews are getting cuter all the time.

    ReplyDelete

    1. lol yeah, I've seen a few skunks but steered clear of them. Porcupines aren't so bad as long as you don't get close and tick em off.

  19. A lovely stroll! Thanks for taking us along!

  20. You certainly do have a lot of wild life in your area. We don't see too many wild animals around here. Maybe deer, raccoons, possums, turkeys, squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks every now and again. And birds. Lots of birds!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Birds sure get around all over, and poop all over too. I don't think we have possums here though. Rest we got.

  21. Is that a porcupine? I've never seen one in its natural habit.

  22. I did enjoy that stroll, thanks so much for taking us with you. To the snake I say slither away
come back on another day (when I am not here).

I have been on a wilderness stroll, maybe I should copy the cat and post one of my strolls,
hopefully, we don't fall in any large holes. haha (like the one you and the boys dug)

So many wonderful creatures at your bay.

Enjoy your week don't fall in a creek.

    1. haha the snake shows up when you least expect it.

Can be a copy cat, the cat is fine with that. Avoid the holes indeed. And we'll avoid the creeks, many of them we go near daily.

  23. You sure do get to enjoy a lot of wildlife in your area! I'm excited if I get a glimpse of deer every now and again. Although we just had someone post in our Nextdoor app that there is a bobcat and coyote roaming around our neighborhood.

    Warmly,
    Elsie

    1. Deer in one spot here are a dime a dozen. Saw 52 one day. Had a bobcat run in front of my vehicle last week. Haven't seen any coyotes for a few months though. Coyote is what I'd watch out for, bobcats tend to steer clear.
