You crawl and you stick.
You bloodsucking dick.
You pick and you choose.
You stay in the news.
You burrow and suck.
You dirty, little fluck.
You give and release.
You being the centerpiece.
You take crack and pit.
You germ-ridden shit.
You blend and you mold.
You see a human and, sold!
You crawl and you itch.
You son of a bitch.
You stick from a pass.
You even crawl up an ass.
You wiggle and sink.
You nasty old dink.
You murder and maim.
You stay out of the frame.
You ruin and fuss.
You wonder why I cuss.
You germ and expose
You hide in last night's clothes.
You climb and you stick.
You bloodsucking dick.
You linger and load.
You ruin nerve to node.
You need to be wiped.
You heard what I typed.
You petri dish of crap
You germ-ridden chap.
Can you tell I have no love for them at my sea? They are one species that can go extinct and leave us be. Germ-ridden nasty things. They can take down bums to kings. All from one tiny little bite. They can turn you from light to darkness of night. Left with only a shell. Their petri dish of disease can cause any hell. That blotch in the last photo is one that attached itself to the car window. The grass there was even low. 2019 has resulted in 62 on me so far. Yeah, I don't want to get out of the car. Any wood ticks where you are at? Do you hate them as much as Pat and cat? If there were no nasty diseases and such, we wouldn't care very much. But on those life-altering diseases we'll take a pass. And yes, one actually did crawl up my little rhyming ass.
Wood ticks are shit, so don't get bit.
Ninja attack!
ReplyDeleteIn for the win
DeleteYou've had ticks on you how many times? Disgusting little creatures. Another reason I won't go out in the woods here.
ReplyDelete64 as of the end of today so far this year. Disgusting they are. Hate going into the woods knowing I'll get them.
Delete62??? That is HORRIFIC! We've had a few deer ticks on us here, but I guess I got them off of us quick enough because we haven't developed Lyme disease, which freaks me out. I avoid the woods in the summer, but honestly, they could be in our backyard with all the deer we have.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have gotten them just from walking through short grass. So they can be anywhere. 64 as of the end of today. Blah.
DeleteWow, I'm not visiting your part of the world! We didn't have them in Montana; too cold for them there. I don't think we have them down here in Phoenix, probably too hot for them. Got to be careful with them though as they can turn out to be deadly. I can see why you hate them so much!
ReplyDeletebetty
Yep, deadly they can be. It is probably way too hot for them there. One win for the heat.
DeleteThose things really do suck!
ReplyDeleteThat they do
DeleteThey are so gross. We were with a friend, watching him launch his rocket, and it went in the woods - when he went to retrieve it, he said the ticks swarmed up his legs. I would've had a freakout at that point.
ReplyDeleteI don't get freaked out, but go a little overboard checking for the nasty things. Blah to that many. I know a few spots where you can get that many here.
DeleteWe've had two cases of lyme disease at our house, so I'm also in favor of making these nasty critters extinct.
ReplyDelete2? I remember one. Blah, extinct they should be.
DeleteI share the same feelings as yours towards the ticks!
ReplyDeleteThey sure suck
DeleteWe've got 'em too. Nasty little suckers.
ReplyDeleteThat they are.
DeleteHokey smokes that's a lot!! There was a student who had one last year, in her bookbag. She cried because she was embarrassed, I reassured her they only hang out with the smartest of students. ;) She was still embarrassed but she laughed. :) Nasty little critters.
ReplyDeletehaha so play dumb and they'll go away? If your method doesn't work I'll mail them to you.
DeleteWow! Nasty little things.
ReplyDeleteThat they are indeed.
Deleteorlin N cassie; de onlee good tick izza dead one....az cold az it getz heer in de winter time de bass terds still due knot die ~~~~~~~~~
ReplyDeletehizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A dead one is the best indeed. Blah to them.
DeleteOh wow, that's a lot! I wouldn't mind the great outdoors so much if there weren't so many bugs.
ReplyDeleteBugs sure make it waaay worse.
DeleteDeer ticks reign here
ReplyDeleteAnd also strike fear
Good that you check
Your bod and neck
Don’t need those things settling in
Taking your health on a downward spin
Nope, check and check some more
DeleteDon't want what they have in store
I remember going to houses of people who lived out in the rural country. They had dogs with huge ticks growing on them.
ReplyDeleteDidn't they think to do something about it?
Yeah, you'd think they would, but there are many here that don't either.
DeleteOh yikes - 62 ticks on you this year. I guess I will stay away from your 'neck of the woods.' I haven't seen ticks here, but then again I haven't walked much in the woods (though I did the other night) They freak me out. I only had one once on my body, trying to dig itself in. That was a number of years ago. Tulip had a tick once. It had dug itself in pretty far, so I took her to the emergency vet to get it out!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, you want those out as fast as possible. Go into the woods most anywhere here and you get them. Ugg.
DeleteOf all the posts you have written, Pat, this is the creepiest! I hate ticks, and unfortunately I know of two people who are really struggling with Lyme disease among my circle of friends here in Colorado. I've only had one tick on me, which I found on my shirt hiking back from digging fossils for the DMNS museum in Wyoming. The thought of 62 ticks FREAKS me out!!!
ReplyDeleteI hate that we have to be so vigilant! Take care, my friend!
Yeah, sadly I know a few that struggle with it too. So I am ever vigilant about them, germy little things. The creepiest post? Do I get an award? lol
DeleteHave you been tested for Lyme Disease? They are nasty, foul bastards that, like the mosquito deserve to go the way of the do-do.
ReplyDeleteYeah, been tested a few times, nadda, thankfully. Nasty, foul bastards they be. Ship them all to outer space.
DeleteI say let's be rid of these bugs.
ReplyDeleteYep, toss em all in a volcano and watch em burn.
DeleteHate those little blood-sucking demons too! Thankfully, none so far this year, but I did find a few on my dog last year that we had to get rid of.
ReplyDeletePups sure can get them and bring them in indeed.
