Time To Keep Kicking

Sitting pretty but not at ease.
Swaying in the subtle breeze.
Fearing the return is coming.
Hearing that familiar humming.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

On the outside looking in,
Always waiting to begin.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

At the end of the road.
Carrying a heavy load.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

The path is long and rough.
One step closer ain't enough.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

White and frozen as the snow and ice.
Sometimes you have to roll the dice.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

Out on a ledge and ready to drop.
Things just never seem to stop.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

A hole dug deeper with each passing day.
In a loop on continuous replay.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

Reaching reaching but never there.
A crack of light not even to spare.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

Stuck above with many below.
How you got there you don't know.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

Water ripples circle from far away.
The shallow end now on display.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

Sitting pretty but not at ease.
Swaying in the subtle breeze.
Knowing the return is there
But that you have strength to spare.

Kick. Kick. Kick.
It doesn't have to stick.
Life will come and life will go.
In the end you'll learn and grow.

There you go. Does it have flow? The cat thought about ducks kicking and this came out. Especially after Pat and the tiny humans watched them when out and about. I'd like to chew on one at our sea. What? Don't judge me? Ever just keep going at your place? Sure something that we embrace. The crap shall always pile, mile by mile by mile by mile, but can't let it give you gas. Just a thought from my little rhyming ass.

Enjoy life, forget the strife.

  15. Okay, this is now my favorite rhyme of yours. It could be a wonderful children's tune - very melodic. The pictures of those adorable kids only make this better. Great job. I didn't even rhyme because of it. I'm that impressed. Who'd have guessed?

The poem reminds me of our political scene right now.
    Take special care.

  17. Is this an ode to anxiety??? LOL Life will come and life will go was bad enough the first time and then you just hadddd to keep repeating it. Are these pictures all from your phone? The ones of the water and the duck are really clear. I know I said it already, but it deserves to be said a second time, yuck to the snow!

    1. lol only you would take it as anxiety. But open to interpretation indeed. Yep, all taken from my phone. Camera on that sucker is great. Yuck indeed.

  20. I still can't believe how big that hole is! That's a lot of work and I bet they loved every minute of it. The snow you had is beautiful, but I'm guessing the beauty of snow will end rather quickly when you're getting hit with it all the time.

    Warmly,

  21. You're a good uncie. The gate for the pups and the cat reigning supreme up high made me laugh. The stanzas are good (as usual). :) The only bad thing about this post is the cold weather photo, but you even made that look pretty to me today!! I guess because it's 78-degrees here, I'm far away. :)
